BIOGRAPHY
Anthony McLeod Kennedy was born and raised in Sacramento, California. His father, Anthony J. Kennedy, a former worker at the dock in San Frasisco. Even so, his father's career as a lawyer. In order to carry out his intention, his father went to law school. Not only that, he also built an office for lawyers in the capital. Anthony Young following his father's footsteps as someone who's struggling with governance and public services. After school ended, he served as page boy in the California State Senate.

Anthony Kennedy graduated from Stanford University and then continued his studies at the London School of Economics. In 1961, he graduated with a degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. He also had a career in the California Army National Guard. After that, he accepted an offer from a law firm in San Francisco.

However, when his father died in 1963, he decided to go back to Sacramento and lead his father's company. In order to pursue his legal degree, he never tired of learning in studying law. From 1965 until 20 years later, he became a professor of constitutional law at the McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific.

As a well-known lawyer in Sacramento, he attracted the attention of Governor Ronald Reagan. When the judge's seat in the United States is empty, Governor Reagan recommend it to fulfill the vacant seat. At the age of 38 years, he became the youngest federal appeals judge in the US. As a federal judge, he also has a big share in the Advisory Committee on Codes of Conduct (1979-1987) and led the Pacific Regional Committee 1982-1990. In 1987 and 1988, he also served on the board of the Federal Judicial center.

Governor Reagan back Anthony Kennedy's interesting to sit in the seat of the Supreme Court, after he failed to recommend two candidates, Robert Bork and Douglas Ginsburg. And on February 18, 1988, he was officially elected as a person who sits in the Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court (Supreme Court of the United States) after its inauguration by the American Bar Association and the United States Senate.

Besides having a great responsibility in the highest constitutional court, Kennedy also made a series of outstanding education. He became a lecturer in public schools and universities throughout the United States and in other parts of the world such as China. He also wrote a book training for lawyers and law students, entitled "The Trial of Hamlet" in which the forensic psychiatrist testified about criminal responsibility undertaken by Shakespeare.
