Jorge Lorenzo was born on the Balearic island of Mallorca, Spain on May 4, 1987. He began riding a motorcycle home in the new age of 3 years and a few months later with the bike he took the first race, racing minicross. In 1995 at the age of eight years old, he won the Balearic and then in later years he also won the class, as the class trial, minimoto and junior motocross and he always holds the title.

The combination of a colorful character, Lorenzo was a very cheerful and flamboyant which made it as a popular figure in front of his fans. The fans call it 'X Fuera' .. as a flamboyant fighter.
In the 2009 season Lorenzo getting stronger and mature, he kept close behind Rossi throughout the season, and won the second exit at the end of the season. At the end of the 2009 season did he extend kontarknya with Fiat Yamaha, and is optimistic for the 2010 season with the Yamaha YZR M1.
